The feeling you get when an album slowly comes close to the only music you listen to in a particular month, and it’s clear that this project has done real heavy lifting towards improving your mindset, well I just think it’s an undeniable and warm feeling. It’s a feeling that comes only as often as is needed, and always at the perfect moment. On March 4th, Novagang rapper Zephrxd released After All That, I’m Still Here, and the songs on this album absolutely got me motivated and kept my positivity alive throughout this past April. 

This album actually has something for everyone. Zeph’s flow is infectious as ever, lines like “Been nostalgic about a time where a was depressed” on the song ‘Cracks For Macintosh’ are all over the album and are a huge part of what brings me back again and again. Another reason is the incredible use of samples, even simple things like a king of the hill sound bite are carefully chosen and mixed perfectly into the songs like on the intro to the aptly named ‘Bobby’. In short, After All That, I’m Still Here should easily put Zephrxd on anyone’s radar, and I swear you can actually hear the ifun that was had in creating this project, check it out.
