Canadian artist Babyesko’s chaotic style is endlessly listenable and proven malleable by the versatility of past projects. ‘“Chaos” is his first single since the July release of his Prince Neon tape, and features upper register vocal melodies akin to Trassh Vampire or Kid Trash. The instrumental by producers ginseng and love&peace reminded me of the type of beats mental and blxty make, a style that feels tailor made for Babyesko’s voice. 

In the short couple of years that I’ve been writing, I’ve witnessed artists I wrote about become actual pop stars in a time span that felt like months as a supporter, but was actually years of dedication to the work on the part of the artist. If anyone deserves that transition into a mass audience and magazine covers, it’s Babyesko, and “Chaos” proves that if it even needed proving at this point.
