Cyber Fest is officially one week away and it’s time we talk about the history of URL shows and what Cyber Fest is in relation to the phenomenon.

URL shows originated and peaked in the same year, which is 2020 at the height of the pandemic. Originally virtual performances or URL shows were few and far between but Covid managed to bring the idea back to life for a lot of people. What is a URL show exactly? A virtual performance or show hosted on a platform viable to support multiple forms of media consumption. A perfect example would be discord or any other virtual chat room able to sustain virtual performances. 

Music Mondays has been planning our very own URL show for a while and I originally had this idea during the inception of Music Mondays. Now it’s finally official, our very own URL show hosted in the official MM discord is coming to you live September 2nd.
