Zomb: So let’s start from the beginning, who is seezenz? Where are you from and how old are you?
seezenz: I'm not sure who seezenz is exactly. Seezenz is really just how I am feeling if that makes sense, haha. Anything you hear from seezenz is or was how I felt in that very moment. I am from West Virginia, and I am 19 years old.
Zomb: Very well said. So you’re 19 from West Virginia, what was growing up like for you? More specifically, what was it like growing up in West Virginia?
seezenz: Thank you. Honestly, it sucked. I hated growing up in West Virginia. But that's where it all started so I always appreciate it.
Zomb: Absolutely understandable, always gonna have that hometown love/hate. What kind of music did you listen to early on? Who were some of your favorite artists growing up?
seezenz: I listened to like emo, pop punk, and metal bands. Some of the names were asking Alexandria, Greeley Estates, chevelle, three days grace, Yellowcard, and Linkin park. Korn, deftones, and slipknot too.
Zomb: All such staples in those respective sounds if we’re being honest. When did you first start creating your own music? Around what age did you first create a song?
seezenz: I created my first song around like age 13
Zomb: Tell us a little bit about what inspired you to start creating and how long was it until you started taking music seriously. What was that like for you early on?
seezenz: It was the bands that inspired me to get into music, i didn't take it very seriously until I was like 16. It was really cool. The old Soundcloud days were great. I was glad to be apart of it.
Zomb: So despite being still in your teen years you’ve definitely made a lot of strides throughout your early career, even just continuing to drop music early on is very admirable. What was the turning point of when you started to take creativity seriously? Was there a certain moment or project that made you realize you wanted this to be full time?
seezenz: So the second I found lil peep was the moment I realized music is what I Wana do. His music made me feel something. And I wanted to keep getting that feeling, so I tried to do it myself.
